These young Trinity voices are by no means top-notch yet. But certainly one of the cast,
the tenor Benjamin Lake, has an obvious career ahead of him. Still not even 20, he’s a weighty young fellow,
who played the prelate Orsino with a rather sostenuto stage presence of a Friar Tuck–cum-Tannhauser kind.
But, this marvellous voice is ready for opera companies to bag (beg?) right now: here is a possible Don Jose in
the making.

… But Benjamin Lake makes the marquis a burly, insensitive Brute,
just the kind of father to drive Blanche to the nunnery.

When King's ‘One World’ dances, it's terrific. When it sings,
which it does through the operatic tenor of 21-year-old Benjamin Lake, it's thrilling.

Lake IS phenomenal. Opening his segment with the rapturous
‘Nessun dorma’ from Puccini's ‘Turandot’, the tenor's barrel-chested look and radiant voice evokes memories of
MGM's Mario Lanza.

What makes ‘One World’ worth hearing is the superb voice of Benjamin Lake.

Benjamin Lake, who is hailed as the greatest voice of the new millennium,
brought the house down with ‘La Donna E Mobile’ by Verdi. After his compelling version of ‘I Who Have Nothing’ shouts of
‘Bravo’ and ‘Encore’ reverberated throughout the theatre.

Any tenor would have to receive accolades for singing ‘Nessun Dorma’ twice a night,
six times a week, no matter how it was sung, but Lake deserves double applause for doing it so very well…..
LAKE is an additional touch of class!

Filling the stage with awesome power, the barrel chested operatic tenor offers
Branson a taste of never seen before vocal prowess. This young man will one day eclipse any and all singers of this type.
……LAKE – whom I have christened ‘Big Ben’, is a powerhouse operatic vocalist, one all of Branson is talking about.

…funny idea like a white suited God, excellently played by Benjamin Lake, who sings
‘It ain’t easy being me’.

Alison Jiear as Shawntel / Eve and Benjamin Lake as Dwight / God,
are outstanding in both their acting and their singing.
